The Zimbabwe Mercantile Exchange (ZMX) a private limited company registered under Zimbabwe’s Companies Act & Other entities Act [Chapter 24:31] of 2020. The company is also registered by the Agricultural Marketing Authority (AMA) to operate a commodities exchange. It also operates a Warehouse Receipt System according to the Warehouse Receipt (General) Regulations, 2020. ZMX is operated by the Financial Securities Exchange and was founded as a joint venture between the Financial Securities Exchange (FINSEC) and the TSL Limited representing the private sector and the Government of Zimbabwe.

Board of Directors

Derek Odoteye

Derek is the current Group Chief Executive Officer of TSL Limited. He has over 18 years of experience in leadership, strategy, business development, agriculture, logistics, real estate, finance, accounting and risk management. Since joining TSL, he has held several leadership positions within the TSL Group including Group Chief Finance Officer, Group Operations Executive, Managing Director for the logistics operations, General Manager for the Real Estate operations and Group Business Development Executive. He is by profession a Chartered Accountant. Prior to joining TSL, Derek was a Senior Manager, Audit & Assurance at Deloitte. Derek is an Alumnus of Havard Business School.

Collen Tapfumaneyi

Collen Tapfumaneyi is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of the Escrow Group comprising Financial Securities Exchange, Corpserve Registrars and Escrow Systems. He was previously CEO of Custody and Registrar Services Limited (Kenya) following the acquisition of the company from Barclays Bank of Kenya. Collen has a long and successful track record in the capital markets and as a provider of capital marketsand financial services solutions in Africa.

Patience Shiri

Patience is the Group Chief Finance Officer of TSL Limited. She has over 14 years of experience in strategy, manufacturing, agriculture, risk management, finance and accounting. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is also a holder of an MBA degree. Since joining TSL Limited in 2013, Mrs Shiri has held various finance positions within TSL Group. Patience has sat on the ICAZ Public Sector Task Force and CPD Committees.

Rachel Kupara

Mrs Rachel Kupara has held various senior management positions in insurance and banking; agriculture and agro-processing as well as manufacturing industries. In total, she has more than 20 years' experience as both executive and non-executive member on many Boards and Audit Committees of public and private sector companies including serving on the Board of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
